Change in document makes it unavailable until next reload

Hello,

When I make changes to a Qlik document (like adding a new chart) and I save it, users with a Document CAL receive the message "Failed to open document, you don't have access to this document" until the document reloads. This does not happen t users with a Named CAL.

This is a problem when the document changed takes almost two hours to reload

Should I proceed any other way, or is there a way to avoid this behaviour?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Salto,

presumably you have 'Initial Data Reduction Based On Section Access' enabled in your document?

If so, when you open the document you have reduced the data to that which is applicable just to yourself. So, other users Section Access records are reduced out of the document. Then when you save, only you have access.

To avoid this, in your development document, disable  'Initial Data Reduction Based On Section Access'. Then when you save your work to production, enable it, and then overwrite your production document.

In addition to Marcus...

Can you add yourself into section access as ADMIN?

in this case you will not reduce any data during opening.
