I need to create a chart with a single stacked bar to show a timeline of allocated units and its needs to take up available space (like gauge). A stacked bar doesn't work because the margins - even after eliminating legends and titles are inordinately large. I could increase the height of the chart and make it transparent but this makes maintenance difficult. The Ctrl-Shift has its limitations and adjustments impact the height of the bar. A gauge chart doesn't work because it cannot plot inside segments.
Are there other options? A block chart will reorder the bars and there is no sort option. Why does qlikview force such large margins?
