QVS exploits caching so cached items will by definition remain in memory.

This is a good thing so do not worry about it.

Hi Bill,

I have limited physical memory in the server hence other users are nt able to access application due to that. Hence i need qvs to release the memory which the earlier application had consumed.

Thanks

Anjos,

On doing that all the application which is opned by other user also gets cleared. Moreover that is manual . I need qvs do release the memory after the session is closed automatically.

Thanks

The data being cached in memory is good.

Why would you wish the flush [clear] the cache ?

Hi Bill,

Because the user has already closed the session and other user needs memory to open other application. But since the memory is not yet flushed, other users are not able to open other applications.

Thanks.

Hi Nirmal,

You are talking about inactive session time out(i.e qlikview closes the session automatically if the session is inactive for given no of time).

But in my case, sometimes the qlikview is not releasing the memory even when the user has closed the session.

Regards.
