I am currently developing an application that will load data from an excel workbook. There can be multiple versions of the same workbook. These workbooks will then need to be compared against eachother. I have a fact table that all workbooks will populate. Using the name of the person associated with the workbook could lead to issues should the same name appear twice. I am considering using a For Loop when loading the excel files and insert a key for a each record of a workbook, which I can increment for the next workbook.
Has anyone solved this issue in a more efficient manner? All ideas welcome.
