Connect to Qlikview from Excel

Is there a way to connect to Qlikview or Qliksense from excel file via a connector or third party plugin?

To clarify, this is not loading data from excel into QVW. This is about viewing Qlikview data in excel files.

Too bad that Qlik makes it easy to import excel data to Qlik, but not vice versa. Our brilliant IT guys somehow decided to use Qlik as "central data warehouse" while most people don't have Qlik licenses and everyone uses Excel for reporting.

I came across Analytics Gate, Qlik Sense plug-in. Has anyone used this? This might be the solution to our problem.
