Connect to Qlikview from Excel

Is there a way to connect to Qlikview or Qliksense from excel file via a connector or third party plugin?

To clarify, this is not loading data from excel into QVW. This is about viewing Qlikview data in excel files.

Thanks

Yes, you can use ODBC. Search the forum, this question has been answered more than once.

For instance:

The question is not about loading the data from excel onto Qlikview.

It is about viewing Qlikview data in an excel document.

Hello!

What kind of connection it should be? Obvious, that you can use the same sources of data (except QVD)

But what can be else? Linking formulas and tables from QV-reports to Excel?

Store your data in a txt file. You can open that in excel.

Would that be sufficient?

You will need any kind of data-output (xls, csv, txt, db, ...) to view QlikView data within Excel. But by using Qlik Sense you could "merge" both tools, see: https://senseexcel.com/.

Indeed, you can embed QlikView objects in MS-Office documents (most spectacularly used in PowerPoint presentations), as long as you have access to QlikView documents, i.e. you should have a license and either QV Desktop or Plugin for internet explorer installed.

Did it ever work for you? I tried it some years ago and now in Office 365 but it never worked for me. Could there be any here not mentioned requirements on the included office-dll's or with any ActiveX settings (AFAIK this feature is based on ActiveX) or anything else?

I got it to work whenever needed, mostly for demo purposes because customers never used it that much. I didn't test with Office365 or QV12 yet, but if I can find the time I'll try again.

I used a fantastic tools QVEXCEL. But the company who provided this tools as closed.

I have a free licence , but this product work only up to version 11.2, and not with server 12.x

It is really too bad.

I'm dreaming to find a similar tool , easy to access to any object in a QVW. and really easy to build formula of Set analysis in excel to query QV.
