Connection to Clipper Database

Good afternoon All,

did anybody got chance gto connect & workwith Clipper Database ? If so please suggest me how should we connect or any suggestion from experts as well.

To connect to a Clipper DBF-file you could use Microsoft's standard ODBC-driver for Foxpro as this should be compatible. However Clippers special NTX index files will not be used - that is more of a performance issue that will not be a problem usually when you batch load through your load script.

Many others have tried and suggested that this is a way to go. Of course this is dependent on which versions you need support for.

There is a commercial solution provided by Progress with their Data Direct drivers that specifically supports Clipper.
