Corrupt file

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there is anyone out there with experience solving corrupted qlikview files. I have been trying to solve it but I couldn't. I would appreciate any piece of advice you could give me.

Thanks in advance

You can try the actions outlined in this post: http://community.qlik.com/message/602641#602641. Or the other easter egg settings mentioned here: http://community.qlik.com/message/270512#270512

But if the document is really corrupted then you can't do anything with it anymore. Well, except perhaps extract some information from it regarding variables, expressions and sheet objects by reading out the xml part of it.

Hi Julian,

Does "Open without data" work?

U can may be retrieve your backend script -->

However, there is a secret menu that allows you to set various flags:

Open Qlikview

Click About

Right Click on the QV 'eye'

You then get a hidden list

Scroll down to ScriptRescue

Set this value to 1

Save and close qlikview

Try to open your document
