Create Slider on Expression

Hi Folks,

I have straight table in which I have Parts as dimension and I am calculating there %Variance in Expression. Now I need to create Slider in which I should select range of variance so that the straight table will display only the parts that fall under the selected %Variance range.

As I am calculating Variance in straight table via expression I am not getting how to create slider on it.

Any help Appreciated.

Thanks,

Victor

The "What If" section of the file has a great example on Sliders

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your response but in that post the under What if tab I am trying to see the variable used in slider but could not see that as I am seeing the number selected in slider so It is not really helping me a lot.

Thanks

Hi Navven,

I will try to share sample app but its just simple straight table for parts I am calculating Variance which is nothing but

(Actual QTY- Forecast QTY/Forecast QTY)*100.

And now I need to create slider so user can select Variance range from there and only parts fall under that range will display.

Thanks

Hi,

I did not get exact solution but what I did at that time was instead of slider I created straight table with Part as Dimension and calculated %Var in expression. Then in presentation tab i hide the dimension and mark Expression as Searchable. So user can  enter their range in search by clicking on Magnifying Glass.

I hope it helps out.
