Create new dimension with 2 others dimensions

Hi,

I would like to create a new dimension grouping 2 others dimensions.

Here is my table viewer:

Today, a pivot table with sum of Cost_Value and sum of Prod_Value by Prod_Account dimension and Destination P&L dimension is like this :

I would like a pivot table like this :

NEW DIMENSIONnew expression
CAP_PER_OTH-1 363
CAP_PREV_PER_OTH5 722
CAP_REV_STD_STD_OTH13 433
DEST_CAUSE_FINANCE-652
ISC347 451
OTHER PERIOD COSTS13 822
PROJETS41 661
SOUS ACTIVITE

5 727

Do I need to change my script or a calculated dimension can give the expected result?

Thank you for help 😉

Had a post all ready to go, and realized I was not logged in, so recreating it, hopefully I get everything I had from the first one.  The first thing I would recommend is reviewing the following Design Blog post regarding the Synthetic Table and Keys:

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Design-Blog/Synthetic-Keys/ba-p/1472634

You really want to control this via linking things properly in the script, here is a Help link regarding Data Modeling that does include a Best Practices section too:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/April2020/Subsystems/Client/Content/QV_QlikView/Loading_data.ht...

There is a lot of information in that link, not sure if it will directly help with your situation or not, if you want to do some further searching in the Design Blog area for other ideas, use this link to search there:

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Design-Blog/bg-p/qlik-design-blog

I think that is everything I wanted to cover.  My post will kick things back out, but I suspect folks were a bit confused as to what you really wanted to do here too, so you may also want to consider providing some further clarification on the use case and you may want to attach a sample QVW too, that may help others offer some other advice on things.

Regards,
Brett
