Hi,
We've started using multi-paper pages in reports we generate from a Qlikview dashboard. These work brilliantly for the data we have (each report is by client and details support calls raised with us so the number of entries in tables on the report can vary greatly from one report to the next) however we now have a problem with page numbering.
In the first version of these reports we had a contents page with page numbers. This was maintained manually and, because pages were single-paper pages, the page numbers always stayed the same. Now with multi-paper pages the page number for certain parts of the reports change depending on how much data there is and how many pages are required to display it. We generate these reports as PDFs using a macro for upto 300+ clients, so manually maintaining the contents page is not an option.
So my question is, does Qlikview provide a way of creating a contents page that gets updated dynamically with page numbers? If there isn't an 'officially' provided way of doing this can it be done using an expression inside a text object used to display the page numbers on the contents page?
Thanks,
James.
Hi!
I also wonder how I can add page numbers on print outs automatically?
Best regards
Christer
have you got a solution to this? im facing a similar issue...
Hi,
We never found a way to do this.
As a work around we put all the mult-page pages into an Appendix and manually page numbered the main document. Not ideal but it works.
James.
