Creating classes for the date dimension

Hi,

I have a trend line at the day level in the Line Chart.

We have data for all dates in a given year. So plotting a 3 yr line graph, results in all the dates being plotted which is very clumsy with respect to the dimension label.

We need to show the day level spikes in the chart, but its still sufficient to show only startofweek dates on the dimension label.

So for a given week, we will still show the variances/ measure values at day level, but the weekstartdate alone would be displayed for the dimension label.

Any suggestions.?

Use "Continuous" Axis and you will have more flexible options for displaying your dimension labels - both automated and "fixed".
