Date Error -(Need a hand here)

Hello Guys

I have a problem with a date. The following table shows how many days an employee has missed work and the date range for this absence.

My problem is that even if you have selected only 2014, the table shows an absence reported in 2013. I think it could be because are taking the last day of 2013 as the first day of 2014 ... I dont know. Any Idea?

It would be difficult to troubleshoot without looking at the application. Would you be able to share your app, if its not huge?
