Date format is wrong when used send to excel option

I have a problem regarding date display.Whenever i use send to excel option in chart,date is getting displayed as number. If we have one dimension send to excel is working properly,but in case of two dimensions....date is getting displayed as number.
Internally a date field is a number and that is what is being sent to Excel. Try changing the default format for the field in the 'number' settings to 'date'.
