Dealing with Multiple Calendars

Hey All,

Having some issues with dates.  In one application I have Open date, close date and target date and in another I have just open date and close date.

What I have done thus far is create a master calendar for each, tied directly to the source date in the facts table.

Is there a better way to handle multiple calendars?

Create just a master calendar.

Use QVD. Not generate it inside Edit Script.

Antonio,

Each of the unique dates are important for the application. It is a sales application so we need to compare open and close dates for each deal. For example, if a user were to leave ‘status’ (won, lost, in progress) unclicked, a master calendar would be confusing.

Maybe I should be creating a ‘days to close’ field instead of the close date field and do the calculations in the document? Not even sure how I’d do that.

Hello,

I thin you can use a link table to link all master calendars.
