Design Alternative to Stacked Chart

Hi All,

I have the following Chart in Qlikview to show different activities performed during the Working Day.

Has anyone got any ideas as to how to show this better? or is this the best way?

Another way is to show without stacked.

Also, plot values inside Segments...

That depends on what you don't like about that chart. It's difficult to judge the value of some of the small slivers which is made worse by the top two values skewing the axis length.

If you have the space, some sort of Trellis / Small Multiples approach, perhaps?

Hi Manish,

I though of that but some of the bars are not long enough to hold the data values

see below

I also tried removing the stacked bars, but again it's not really looking good, I would like a chart that shows all users without having to use scrollbars like below

Hi James,

Do you have any examples of the Trellis approach?

You can go with Horizontal Style with resizing and keeping legends on bottom

There may be a lot of other way too,but the main concern is the volume and the type of presentation you want it acan be the complete for all dimension it can be limited or even cyclic groups can be used

Another way is to show your bar chart in a different pages with each page is having 3-4 usernames.

Few button below the chart can handle next or previous chart pages...
