Design of a Chart

Hi there,

Two questions about chart design. (pls see attached file)

1.Loook at the chart,as you can see in some dates(mainly 09/2009).

The Values of the two expression are almost the same --->which causes to the

"values on data point" to appear one on each other-so that the user can't really see what the Values are

i.e. -- in 09/2009,is the value equal to 180?170?176? I can't see,can they be separated somehow?

2) Is it possiable that the colors of the "values on data point" will be diffrent for each expression ?

i.e pink color for the "budget" line and blue color for the "actual" line ?

Thanx a lot guys.

P.s if you think it can't be done pls say so because I'm wasting a lot of time on this issue......

Hi David,

I note that you can't change the option "origin to 0"...

Color Changing : What version of QV do you use ? Me : QV9 SR2, and I use Color Text Attribute in the expressions to do that, so i have different colors...

What about a more conventional bar chart, like this :

The difference between Actual and Budget is clear, the origin is respected...

Hi Miguel,

The only disadvantage is that you loose the graphic relation "over/under" between Actual and Budget...

Hi,

First-thanx guys but lets say that I CAN'T change the min and max values of the axes,so letting the expessions to begin from diffrent value then zero is not an option.

About the colors,emontant-I didn't see a color changing..its look the same color to me...both are blue.

Miguel-you have changed the colors but as emontant said-its now much hard to tell which value

is greater then the other.
