If the sales data is in an database then going for Direct Discovery as MayilVahanan‌ suggest might be a good option instead of doing a reload.

Hi, If you can live with an qlikview window that comes up every minute you can add a task in windows sheduler. Create a .bat file that you schedul every minute. Look for .bat file or window batch file in the community.

Batch file script to reload Qlikview Applications

Is your dashboard never to be opened for viewing (because of being continuously reloaded)? Or should the reloads happen while the user is trying to use the document to analyse some business data (will be a very annoying user experience)?

Yes One of, but I totally agree with Peter here. 1 min for desktop using is not userfriendly.

Your desktop application can be automatically reloaded using batch jobs.

What is the use of reloading the application for every one minute?.

May I ask why you want to do this, as it's PERSONAL Edition, I presume that you are the only user and could just manually reload whenever you want to.

Puzzled!

I agree Peter it doesn't make any sense to run every one minute, will discuss with client and come back to you about frequency.

Thanks,

I had a discussion with my client and he just wants to see the sales numbers every 1 minutes, I created a batch file to do this task, but in task scheduler it starts from 5 minutes onward.

However my batch works well when I run manually and dashboard is updating, but when I schedule it batch file ran successfully but dashboard didn't updated.

I believe there is nothing wrong in the batch file, it something wrong in that file, then manually also shouldn't work.

I am using Windows server 2008 R2.

Any idea experts.

If the user has the QlikView application open it will be with the version of data that was current at the time he started the QlikView Desktop Personal Edition. If there is a background task being scheduled that reloads every minute or whatever frequency then the QlikView Desktop will not recognize automatically that the QVW-file has changed due to reload that is happening in the background.

The reload has to happen from the Desktop that the user is using - having a separate reload will not work (or will work very poorly).
