Thanks. And do we also have to map the document CALs to different documents or it does the mapping thing by itself?

Named User CAL

Named user CAL is specific to the user or the machine. It cannot be shared, but user with this type of license can access any number of documents and for unlimited duration. This type of license is best suited for the developers and designers, creating the dashboard or dedicated users who need 24 * 7 access to the dashboarding application.

Document CAL

Document CAL associates user to the document instead of the QlikView Server. It allows user to access only one QlikView document. This type of license is good for the users who are interested in only one specific document.

in simply we can say,

through document cal u can access continuously only one document.

but through named cal u can access continuously many documents document.

by login to qemc--documents---userdocuemnts--cilc on ur document --document cals tab-----from here you can see who is using either doc cal/named cal.

as per the business u need to provide the cals to the users.

.... and Named User CAL can also be used for the QV Desktop to lease a licence, whereas a Document Cal cannot.
