Dimension containing alternate state

Hi,

Do anyone know if it is somehow possible to save a group done in an alternate state into a dimension?

The reason for why is to create the possibility of smooth comparison between a large number of selected groups.

Could you explain it better?

This not make too much sense to me.

Use a set analysis:

{B <[Year] = ::[Year]>}

Where B is an Alternate State, and you take the year from the Alternate A. You can use also $ or 1 instead.

I want to give end users the possibility to save selections in dimension inside a new dimension.

Makes sense?

Lets say I have a multibox and make selection. I then have a button that lets me save theese selections inside 1 dimension as selection 1,2,3 etc so I can then put them all at once inside a table.

Ok lets try again.

Another way of doing what I want is to get the values of X from a selection and put them into a new dimension. It should then be possible to continue saving selections into the dimension.

It would be similar to saving boomarks as a dimension.
