Disable action on other columns in straight table

Hi,

I have a straight table with 6 dimensions, 10 expression. I put an action on one column (used in expression) to go to next sheet.

Now the problem here is, whenever use clicks on any expression in the straight table, its taking to next page rather than staying on that page.

any help?

Thank you

Venkat

Your action is on the onSelect of a Field?

Hi Rob,

you are correct. action is on onSelect of field.

When you click a row of the straight table, you are making selections in the Dimension fields of that row,  Your action is not really in the table, it is on the field. It doesn't matter how you select the field, you will trigger the action.  You could make the table Read Only. That would disable any selection on the table.

You could also change that particular Dimension in the table to be an expression rather than a Dimension.  That would keep it from being selected when the row is clicked.

Thanks for the options Rob.
I cannot keep the table read only since users has to enter values in couple of columns and accordingly few other columns populate.

To your second option, yes I already put the column as expression, not dimension. If I click on other expressions, this expression also filtering down and onSelect action is initiating.

Thank you
