Disapearing Qlikview Files

Hello,

Ive started to have an odd problem with Qlikview.[:S]

Im using Qlikview 9 and our application qvw sits on the shared network drive which reloads ever 15 mins from one single machine.

Users (8.5) can open the file on the network view data etc via a shortcut on their desktops.

I've been doing this for over a year no trouble the problem now is that at what seems random intervals the file is been deleted from the network drive.

I've confirmed that the users are not deleting/moving the file from the network.

It looks like randomly if the the user clicks no to save the file is deleted?! but again this isnt confirmed as testing produces random result.

Anyone any ideas??

Hi, would it be an option to take away the write/delete right from the users?

If not I would recommend you enable event logging for file deletions on the server.

hello,

Im not using a QV server ( in this instance)

The user(s) have Qlikview Analyser installed and are simply loading the file from the netowork drive.

Hi, alright - still you could just limit the user permissions to read on the network drive and/or enable event logging to determine who/what deletes the file and when it happens.
