Display info on mouseover chart
Hi all,
I have 3 field in a straight chart. I display only two, and for the third i'd like display value on mouse over each row. Do you think it's possible?
Regards

If the 3rd column contains numeric values (Ex:123456789) then you can decrease the width of the 3rd column and you'll have ####### as display and when users hover over the ####### it will show them the number behind it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, is that what you looking for?
Decreasing the width will also have effect on your column name.

I've tested your proposition. It could be a nice work around but :
-we can't decrese width a lot
-when i put white font, the value in the mouse over boxe is white too
i think the only way is a conditionnal hiding of the column...

Hi Rob,
I am doing a similar thing in one of my projects, but for some reason I am not able to get the mouseover function to work in the webviewer. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dylan

No idea, for me it works in web viewer. Homewer i have to dropped this workaround in my app because when you export in Excel, you pollute the cell with data on two rows.
A good workaround with user don't export charts in Excel.

The popups in my example file work for me in Webview and on the server.
Are you testing in server or desktop webview?
What version of QV and build are you using?
Does my example file work for you?

Hi Rob,
Your example file works in desktop webview for me fine. I am testing the functionality on the server on a graph instead of a straight table. That shouldn't make a difference right?
An example of the graph is provided below:
I am using qlikview 11.1.
Thanks,
Dylan Clark

So you get no popup at all on the bar chart? Or is it a custom pop-up that's not showing? Do you mean you are running QV11.2 SR1?
