Display previous values in Today?

Hello,

I'm working on a production based application.

We have orders as below.

Ref               Production Date               Qty          Machine

Order1          01 Mar                              10          Machine2

Order2          02 Mar                              20          Machine2

Order3          10 Mar                              15          Machine2

Order4          12 Mar                              20          Machine2

Order5          14 Mar                              25          Mahcine2

I want to show chart broken down by Machine, then by Production Date with a total for qty, however I want anything prior to today date (assume March 9th as todays date) to be rolled up into todays date.

So you can see my example chart below where previous dates are shown in a different colour on the same bar for 'Today'.

Any help would be great.
