Do QlikView Extensions only work on Desktop Clients ?

I read from an article that QlikView extensions that are available in QV10 only work on desktop clients. How true is this ?

Does that mean that I cannot use Accesspoint to view the extensions ?

I would like to deploy these extensions in the server and let the users view the extensions using the QV Accesspoint portal.

It does look like that extensions are available to view in either desktop clients or Server via Ajax Client.
