Hi Folks ...
When we are assigning Document CALs , there is an option to check with like
No Of CALs Allocated to the document : 5
My understanding with this is after allocating no of cals , if we check the allow dynamic cal and then will be able access document dynamicaly by users.
what if we UnCheck and then proceed to add users, then only list of users added below
Will be able to access the documents ??
Can any one correct me with the statement where ever my assumption is wrong.
- When No of Document cals assigned Exceeds: firsts 5 users can access the document, from sixth user are rejected.
- What happens If Allow Dynamic CAL Assignment Checked: the Named (or Document) CALs would be assigned to users based on first come first served basis.
- What happens If Allow Dynamic CAL Assignment UnChecked : you have to assign Named (or Document) CALs manually.
Check attached pdf for more details:

The number of Document CALs you want to assign can never exceed either
So whether or not you enable Dynamic CAL assignment for a particular document, Doc CALs can be assigned to a visitor either automatically by the QVS (Dyn CAL assignment enabled) or manually by an Administrator (Dyn CAL assignment disabled) as long as the number of entries in the Assigned Users overview is smaller than the value of "Document CALs allocated to this document". Meaning that you have some CALs left.
Thanks a lot for the clarity given by you - Michele De Nardi
Peter - i mean to say If exceeds scenario applicable for a document to assign with in the available CALs
lets say we have 30 CALs and assigned 5 for a document.
My intention of this is to clear what if beyond the assigned no of CALSs/users access the document

Kakani.
