Document failed to load in QlikView desktop

Hello,

When trying to open a .qvw file, I get the below error message and the file it is not opening. Find below screenshot for your reference.

The document < your document path> failed to load.

At the same time, there is another file with this that works fine.

Does know what may be reason?

You are working with the personal edition and one qvw may have a valid key from your installation and the other qvw not - maybe because they is from another user/machine. Another cause could be any section access or missing access rights to the file itself.

Hi @ga18906,

I agree with Marcus in that using the Personal Edition of QlikView Desktop may be contributing to your issue.  Did you yourself create the QVW file you're attempting to open - DRPNode.qvw?  If not, then you wouldn't be able to open a QVW  which you didn't create, as that is a limitation of the Personal Edition.  See QlikView Personal Edition FAQ for more details.

Another issue that may be preventing you from opening the QVW is if the file is corrupted.  Can other people successfully open DRPNode.qvw from the same folder location that you're attempting to open it from?

Are you receiving any other error or warning messages in addition to the one you posted?

I have this same problem, as we've copied files from a production server, to our new upgraded test server.  Some files open fine, others give this error.

What is the solution to fix this kind of problem?  Seems like it is licensing related ....

marcus_sommer

As far as you would licence the desktop client - directly or with a licence lease - it wouldn't be a licence issue.
