Does EDX require QlikView Publisher? - Qlik Community

In order to create an EDX trigger, must I have QlikView Publisher? Do I need QlikView Server? I.e. What are the requirements to create EDX triggers to reload data in QlikView applications? What all is required to create EDX triggers (step-by-step)?

Publisher is not required.

Interesting. This brings to mind several questions:

Could you provide a little more detail (examples would be good) on how that could be implemented without Publisher?
What is the point of publisher then? I know that's probably a stupid question, but I thought the point of Publisher was to setup and run the tasks. I guess I thought the QMC was part of Publisher. Sounds like it's not.
