Does Loading a QVW Refresh Associated QVD's?

I'm trying to design a QVW that will be hosted on our internal Qlikview server.  When someone access the URL, they'll access our Qlikview dashboard.

This dashboard is a QVW that is referencing QVDs that will be stored on a Qlikview server.

Our business requirement is such that, when a user access this URL, they should have up-to-date data.  If the underlying data changes while they are viewing this data, the visualization shouldn't update.

However there are odd cases where we might have User A open the URL at 9:00am, and User B open the URL at 9:05am.  Changes that have happened since then should be reflected for User B but not for User A.

Are these QVDs updating on QVW open?  Or am I way off with respect to the proper architecture for this?   The only QVD that will update frequently is the Fact table of our star schema.  The other dimension QVDs will change periodically.

Thanks!

The QVW itself will only be updated data when being reloaded.

To really retrieve new data, also the QVDs need to be updated by the supporting tasks / QVW that write the QVD.

These reload tasks are not triggered by opening an app in AP.
