What are the various ways a user can adopt to edit a qvw file while accessing it through Access point?

A user can edit their own version of the document, using right click options to create charts, list boxes etc. In the ajax client this is a little hard to do, while the IE plug-in is a fair bit better.

The user's changes only apply for them though, unless you set up collaboration to share the objects and bookmarks they make between users.

If you are want users to edit the actual QlikView document, i.e. the .qvw file, this can't be done directly through the client-server architecture but needs to be done using the Developer software. Users can download a copy of the file from the server (by ticking Downloads in the User Documents > Document > Server settings in the Enterpise Management Console). After changing the qvw file it would need to be copied back up to the server manually. Source control and release management may become difficult if multiple developers are able to make changes though.

Hi,

If you access to Document Properties user can able to cretae front end charts based on available data but it will not allow to edit the script.. the user created charts will not be saved in origional application it will be visible for him only still if user wants to share his reoprts then user has to create bookmarks..

go to Settings--> Documentproperties--->security.

there you can find the privileges..

hope it helps//
