Editing qlikview .shared file

Hi All,

After the new deployment users old bookmarks stopped working, we found out that the issue is because of a new listbox object which has "Always one value selected" option.

So we wanted to Export the bookmark, edit its XML definition, and import it again.

But we are stuck at importing, after we edit the bookmark in XML, how to convert that .xml to .shared file.

The below link suggests for the same idea but no information about importing.

Re: Bookmarks stop working after document overwritten with a new version

Regards,

Ashok.

Hi Ashok,

Why wouldn't you import the XML through Bookmarks -> Import?

With kind regards,

I think if we do like that, it becomes the document bookmark, but we are looking to edit each user bookmark.

No info on adding new selections to the bookmark, instead info on deleting the server objects of inactive users.

AFAIK that cannot be done. You can drop various shared/server objects but you cannot edit them directly or export-edit-import them indirectly.
