Eliminating a Sub Total Line from a Pivot Table

Hi :

Is it possible to remove the subtotal only for the "Gross Margin" Category of the attached QVW.

I need the Sales & COS Category Subtotal to remain as it is and only remove the sub-total ("Total" Line) for

the gross Margin category.

(the attached sample QVW was not prepared by me, I got this from the user community in response

to another earlier Query)

thanks in advance.

I think you need to construct the totals by yourself in case you want to eliminate someone.

Hi Juan:

By mentioning that the totals has to be constructed, do you mean through a pivot table or a straight table.

Because I need to use the Pivot table to present the report by month on top.

thanks

Hi,

I'm not sure what your broader objective is but having "gross margin" as a dimension value seems like something that could be reconsidered.  If instead you calculated it as an expression you would have a different scenario that may provide more flexibility.  Generally speaking from a data modelling perspective I wouldn't consider Gross Margin a dimension but rather a fact / measure and therefore something I'd have in an expression.

Not sure if this helps, depends on what your broader objective is.
