Both the versions now days have almost same functionalities except
- Max 25 named and 100 Doc CALs in SMB
- No custom directory or configurable LDAP in SMB
- No clustered server option
I may have missed out some items but mostly the max license cap is the one affecting in general.

Hi,
see the attached document for a summary between SBE vs EE. It also compares those 2 with another 2 editions (Information Access Server and Extranet Server).
Hope this makes it clear,
Ingo.

Hi David,
The key advantages of EE v SBE Server are:
- Unlimited users
- Unlimited documents
- Server-based collaboration
- Dynamic Data update / Real Time Server
- Integration with third-party security systems, DMS
- Server clustering
- Access other users types such as Session & Usage CALs
- Anonymous User
- Can be embedded in SharePoint
- Build bespoke mash-ups / AJAX applications (QlikView Workbench)
