Error: Failed to allocate Qlikview Engine

Hi,

Tasks got failed for so many application. In the log file, it is mentioned:

(2016-06-12 07:15:01) Error: Failed to allocate a QlikView Engine.
(2016-06-12 07:15:01) Error: No QlikView Engine was available after waiting for 45 minutes

Tasks failed for 4 applications and all of them running at different times. How this has happened? Any idea?

Hi vinu,

This error is because you haven't resources to allocate the QlikView Engine for reload and run this task, or you have limited your concurrent reloads and new tasks cannot run while other task have finished.

Thanks for your reply.. Previously I haven't faced any issues. Suddenly yesterday some 4 jobs(which runs daily at different time) got failed.

When I am checking the even logs..

DCOM error which activating a server is displayed just before all the error logs related to task failure.

So is there anything related to DCOM error which activating a server?

Sometimes DCOM causes errors. Try to shutdown all QlikView services and restart all services.
