Hi.

Try opening your file with another version of QlikView you are using.

Hi,

Try as well to open that file right clicking on the Start Page of QlikView, Recently Opened Documents, Open "FileName" Without Data.

Hope that helps.

This error occurs when QlikView fails to recognize the file header, so loading without data is unlikely to work. current QlikView recognizes files back to 3.0 versions (for files recognized before 6.0 the message shown is:

"QlikView file has been saved in version %s. Files saved in versions earlier than 6.0 are not supported in this version.")

Most likely the file has been damaged in some way and is unreadable.

Johan,

Thanks for the clarification. I figured that the file was somehow corrupted...

Hi Johan,

Try to open the file once with an old version (e.g. 7.52 or older (if you can find a setup)). If that works and open the document, reload and save it. And then try to open it with a newer version. (Sometimes you might do this "version upgrade step-by-step" more than once (e.g. from 5 to 6, from 6 to 7.52, from 7.52 to 8.20 and then to 10)).

Regards,

Helen
