I have a qvw that has been shared by a colleague and whn i try to open it i get this error attached.
In that case it may be that you've hit the limit of available document recoveries -

If you have a server installation, you may be able to lease a license to overcome this.
It looks like section access may be enabled in the document, and if so your user id isn't in there.
You'll need to get your colleague to add you in.
No, that won't make any difference, the documents are forward compatible.
So did your colleague confirm that section access was enabled?
