Error message QVWS down appear in QMC

Hi all

There was an error message on QMC indicating that the QVWS is down.

However upon checking the Qlikview services in Qlikview Server & IIS, all has been started.

Able to log in to the Access Point without any issue.

Tried to restart the services again but still got the same error message on QMC.

In QMC (System -> Setup -> Qlikview Web Server), the error message at the summary was:-

The Web server is currently not responding.

If you receive the Not Responding message, and the Qlikview Webserver Service or Qlikview Webserver Settings Service is running, it may be due to network error or firewall issues.

However there was no change to the network or firewall.

The only thing I have not done is restart the Web Server.

Any idea?

Regards

If you are using IIS as web server/Access Point, then why did you install QVWS? Or did I get that wrong?

Best,

Peter

Hi Serhan

No proxy.  Thought maybe is it port related.

Hello,

Check the Windows application logs. You may find some errors there.

May depend on the way QlikView installed. In the company as best practice, we install with a local user belonging to Administrators group. This may happen if you installed with a domain user belonging to Administrators group. This is something we do for a long time because we encountered such problems before. I'm not sure if this is the reason but if you can't find any hint I suggest you to install the way above as a last resort.
