Error when Configuring the AD in the DSC

Hi,

I am using the Active Directory as source of authentication in a deployment for Qlikview.

In the QMC, when i am trying to configure it in DSC-> Active Directory Node, i am getting an error message saying that the username or password used are wrong, while i am sure they are right.

What may be the cause of this error message?

It is resolved actually.

We should put the domain name in the Path and after the username, as follows:

Path: LDAP://<domainname>

Username: administrator@<domainname>.com

whereas i was putting the username only without the domain after it.

Thank you guys anw.

Just for kicks, leave the user and password blank, the go to users and make a search.

I tried it and did not work.

Now, i have two questions:

- the user that i will use for the Qlik Services should be a domain user and local administrator on the server? or it works fine if it is local user and administrator?

- the user that i will use when configuring the AD in the DSC should be a domain administrator and Qlikview Administrator?

You could ask your AD-admin at the company for the correct AD connection string.

It could also be firewalls preventing you.

Or the user account is disallowed to connect via AD.
