ErrorMsg: Login failed for user

Hi

I receive the error "Login failed for user" when trying to run a task on qlikview.

Please assist.

The message meant that the combination from user + password for those database isn't valid. Check that you haven't any typo and you considered possibly case sensitive of the credentials. If this is ok. ask the database-admin if the credentials are valid and if there are any further restrictions to access the database.

Check your connection parameters in the load script - but more likely, make sure DBA has granted the QVuser account (domain) access to the database/table/view.
