Hi,

in your messages it always says "Qv.exe" - that is not the server (that would be qvs.exe). Have you checked your server logs at the appropriate times? What can you read there? Do you have more information? The posted one is a little too scarce to even try a diagnosis.

Hi Elad,

the server logs usually are under

..Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\QlikTech\Qvs

Check the events log there (you should know then the date and time of the error reports (....00Qv.exe.mdmp ....) .

But what exactly dou you mean by "I opened the server"? What do you do when you "open the server"? Connecting by remote desktop or login locally or ....

OK, that means you're getting the error deferred.

On this machine, go to the event log => Applications => Find; under "Event types" you check only "Error", in description you write "Qv.exe"; then you should find an Error event at a certein date and time. Read the details of it and see if you get a hint there. If not, you at least have the date and time when the error ocurred. You should then search for this date/time (or rather around this date/time) in all the server logs to see what might have happened there; perhaps you can identify the "bad" application thus ...

Hi,

but did you find something in the System Event log (eventvwr.msc) ? An error thus severe should be reported in the Application Log. You must first retrieve WHEN the error occurred there.

Hi,

ok, so you also have the time of this log entry, meaning we now know, WHEN the error has occurred. Now you should check which scripts are running at that time. If reloads are running at the time, you should enable the "Generate Logfile" option in the Document Properties of all the QlikView Applications which are being reloaded at that time. You have to find out what Qv.exe is doing at the time you found the error in the events log.

Joachim
