Export to Excel Number Become Text

Dear all,

When i export the qlikview listing in table box to excel. All the column are export nicely. Except, the number column become text. Although i can change it back to value in excel. But it's quite troublesome to end user.

Please see the attach. The number cell in excel comes with a green arrow after export from qlikview

Hi Chee hang

Green symbol means The format is encripted to another one .....

In your exported Excel Sheet .. Select the cells which contain the Green symbol

Then

  1. On the Home tab, in the Number group, click the Dialog Box Launcher next to Number.

Ribbon Image

You can change Directly  in that List box ...to what ever you want means Number or text

Or else just click the Symbol in the red ring above ...then You will get Formatted cells pop-up window There also you can change ....

Regards

Sasi

Hi

Try to change the format under the tab Number. E.g. Fixed to 2 Decimals. You might have to check the "Override Document Settings" box first.

Hi,

This is the know issue and i don't think qliktech has fixed this problem yet.

Work around is instead of exporting if you do copy full table and copy it in excel you can get it in number format.

Thanks
