Export to Excel delay

Hello

I've been working with QlikView for quite some time now and the only thing that really bothers me is the time it takes to export a table to Excel.

I'm usually dealing with large tables (15000 x 12) and the time between clicking "export to excel" and recieving the actual document takes about 10 to 20 minutes.

I'm using QlikView on my local machine which only has 1 GB ram, could this be the problem or is there a solution to this?

Thanks,

Gilles

Hi Gilles,

10 to 20 minutes sounds very long to me. I would suspect that it's definitely hardware related. When I export large tables to Excel it doesn't take very long at all.. 1-15 seconds depending on data amount. This is on a Quad core, 8GB Ram.

Hi Jsn

Thanks for your reply, i'm also quite sure it's hardware related. This will be fixed in the near future though.

I guess there is no workaround?
