Expression - definition - help

iam new on with this software, trying to figure out how to read and write definition inside the expressions tab (chart properties).

1.can someone please aim me to good guide?

2.which code is it btw?

3. how i know if there is error?

4. if there is X icon (red) in the expression list- what it means?
