Fact & Dimension

What is the difference between fact and dimension? how come to know which one is dimension and which one is fact?

Try in google so that you will get lot and lot information which related. Surfing should be Fact Vs Dimensions in Data model and go to images from the under tabs

Above another snap, Check whether which is fact as you capture very first time. Off course, Here 5 tables are single tables which associated to Fact table. And then each dimension called one Field like Ename, Sal, Deptno ....

Fact:

Fact Table contains the measurable attribute of the data. It contains measurable data that can be analyzed by Dimension tables. Fact tables contain the foreign keys of the associated Dimension tables.

Dimension:

Dimension Table Keys Are Connected With the Fact Table


first Load The Dimension tables then facts
