Hi all,
since 3 days im getting the error: "Failed to open document." This only happens if the document was reloaded via a job in QMC.
But i can open it via the "load without data" option. Then i can reload it manually and it will work.
Can somebody help me?
Greetings
Phil
Hi,
turns out that a prj folder which was created by a Document Analyzer.qvw was the problem.
Deleted the folder and no problems since...
from where are you trying to open the document? could be an issue related to CALs. do you have section access applied on the dashboard?
This sounds like a section access with data reduction problem. Some data loaded by section access has changed, so no data matches your username.
Data reduction is applied when the document is opened, so a no-data load followed by a reload will work as you describe. But when you try and open the document later, the data reduction is removing everything, so you cant open the document.
Hi Jonathan,
thanks for your reply but we dont have section access in use at all...
Did you had a look at the logs from the server reload to ensure the document has been executed as expected? Check for permissions to access data sources and folders, macros, etc.
I have to add: If i open it via Access Point - no Problems. Open it with the Qlikview application - Problem as described previously.
If i open it with the "no data" option, reload it, save it and then close it, it will open up with data and without any errors.
the same windows credentials opening the dashboard from the Access Point is not working when opening from the QlikView client or they are two different credentials?
