Failure when trying to save qvd

Dear All,

I have a script working without any error for more than 2 weeks.

Today the script failed. Below is the log :

store FBInventory into qvds\FBInventory_BH.qvd(qvd)

04/05/2016 4:19:44 PM:         General Script Error

04/05/2016 4:19:44 PM:         Execution Failed

The weird issue is that if I change the name of the qvd for example store FBInventory into qvds\FBInventory_BAH.qvd(qvd).

the script will succeed.

N.B : I am doing an incremental load and the qvd FBInventory_BH is already found and i am restoring the data again in the same file.

Thanks for your help.

So there were QV Desktop processes still running in the background (i.e. not present on the Desktop) or going haywire and keeping your QVDs locked?

That sound like the file is getting locked by another process. Are you reading the same QVD in another application? Maybe they're running to close and they overlap locking the access to the file.

Sometimes the STORE may fail because the file "appears" to be locked by another process, but no other process is actually using or accessing the file.

Simply deleting the file and restarting the task which will perform a full load will solve the issue. A platform reboot may also remove any leftover NTFS locks.

Looks like the file (QVD) got locked...

I am not able to delete the file.

I am getting the below pop up :

"The action can't be completed because the file is open in Qlikview 11.20 SR5"

Any idea how to remove the lock without restarting the server ?

Thanks.
