Field Name Length?

Does anyone know the maximum length of a Field Name? (any reference?)

     As far as i know, there is no limit.

Hi, Wilson.

I haven't found a limit yet to the size of the field.

However, I would recommend to your users that you abbreviate or shorten the field names otherwise it can make tables and charts rather ugly. In addition, it takes up valuable real estate.
