Hi
I have a qlikview reporting dashboard which will have a business summary sheet followed by a sheet for each business unit, e.g. A, B, C. How can I apply a default filter on the business unit sheets so it only shows data for that business unit, A, B,C?
Thanks
Hi,
You can use the sheet level section access.
Please find attached example.
Hi Nilesh
Thanks for getting back.
Unfortunately no attachment.
Thanks
In the sheet properties set "show sheet" to conditional and write in the textbox:
myVar=1
Set a variable myVar with the value of 0
Then at the opening of the document (Settings-> document properties -> triggers -> on open press add action and add in external menu "set variable" and set its value to 1
It works
hi
clearing all the selections you should save them to the bookmark
1. save selections to bookmark
2. clear selection
Bookmark can save and retrieve the filter selections whenever we required, that's the great feature of BookMark in Qlikview.
An additional step for your requirements will be fulfilled by applying triggers only in "On-Leave" and "On-Activate" actions.i.e; Right-Click on sheet --> Properties --> Triggers --> Sheet Events
1.)On-Leave
Action Type --> Bookmarks --> ReplaceBookmark= BM01
Action Type --> Selections --> ClearAll
2.)On-Activate
Action Type --> Bookmarks --> ApplyBookmark = BM01
Hi
I have tried the following which seems to do the trick but just wanted to confirm:
Right click on Sheet > Sheet Properties
Triggers > Add on Active sheet and use the search to filter to A for example.
Does that seem okay
