Filter on Fields and stored them into QVD's

Hi,

I have the attached Document which looks at the attached spreadsheet, I want to create a QVD per [Fin Period] and [Fin Year] that is in the Temp Table Fact.

So for example I would like a it to loop through the Fact table per Fin Period and Fin Year filter on the result set for this and then create   four separate QVD's like the below:

Fact_2016_10.qvd

Fact_2016_11.qvd

Fact_2016_12.qvd

Fact_2017_10.qvd

Thanks

Hi,

I've checked and the solution is working fine.

Check for the output qvd files in the folder where the qvw file is stored.

Create a Folder.

Place the qvw attached above and Transactions.xlsx in the same folder.

Don't change anything and reload the qvw.

The qvd's will appear on the folder.

Hi,

So I have saved the qvw & xlsx file to a folder called "Qlikview on the C Drive ( C:\Qlikview ), open the Document and Reoloaded it but it does not seem to be doing the looping part. The folder I have created has read and write, I've attached what the Script Execution Progress is doing and that is all it does before it closes this screen down.

Thanks

Yes, I thought I did but this one is a bit different, this has multiple fin periods so I needed to loop through the fact table and create a qvd for each one

Hi, Yes this seems to work now but it is also creating an extra qvd called "_.qvd"
