Fiscal Year Comparison

Hello,
Hopefully someone can help or point me in the right direction
I have the script

SUM ({$<[Fiscal Year]={$(=only([Fiscal Year])) }>}Amount)

This seems to work fine for a calendar year but my fiscal year is 1st August - 31 June
Is there a way that if a user selects these the dates then the correct data will be shown
e.g
2009 / 2010 would show turnover from 01 aug 2009 - 31 Jul 2010
2010 / 2011 would show turnover from 01 aug 2010 - 31 Jul 2011
I've created a fiscal calendar but the script doesn't seem to like it over a two year period
Thank you in advance

that expression should do the job is you fiscal year is set right. i mean all the data from 1 august 2010 to 31 june 2011 must have the same fiscal year (ex: F11 or "2010 / 2011")

Thanks for your reply ionut.bostan. I have split my fiscal years up like so

Posting DateFiscalYearFiscalMonthFiscalQtrFiscalPeriod
01/01/20001999-2000JanuaryQ2FP6
02/01/20001999-2000JanuaryQ2FP6
03/01/20001999-2000JanuaryQ2FP6
04/01/20001999-2000JanuaryQ2FP6
05/01/20001999-2000JanuaryQ2FP6
06/01/20001999-2000JanuaryQ2FP6

do you mean I should add another column?

e.g. year 2000 would be for 01/08/1999 to 31/07/2000. Then year 2001 for 01/08/2000 to... and so on

so in my expression i'd be using the year column?

thanks for your time

Thanks Torbjörn and ionut your help is appreciated. The fiscal year name is a naming convention for the users, i'll just add another column. Thanks!
